| Bag One day at Sea Gate Elementary a daughter and mother were selling reusable “green” bags together. The people buying the bags were going wild. They were snatching and clutching their bags away from the sellers. The sellers kept taking loads of cash from the bad thirsty mob. Everything was great for the sellers and the world. The environment was being saved. “No more polluting on me,” you could almost hear the earth say. The sellers got money to finally help their “green” organization bloom. One little girl was asked by her mom, “Would you like to get a bag?” The daughter started thinking with a puzzled look. “What will happen if I say yes to buy a bag?” Then she started to day dream if she were to say yes. The sun was shining. Everyone is happy. Kids are playing on the beach. Adults are relaxing in the sun with total enjoyment. Everyone has “green” bags to carry their food. The grocery stores don’t have plastic or paper bags to dirty the earth. The beaches are crystal clear and overflowing with all kinds of sea life. The mountains are clan for the wild life whom live on the mountains. The world is sure better because my mother purchased the “green” bag. “What will happen if I don’t buy the bag?” The world is covered in smoked oil and reeking from the trash swallowing the earth. The grocery stores are filled to the top with plastic bags. Everyone is miserable. The world has gone complete wrong. The beaches have dead fish. Trash bags are suffocating the poor animals. Back to the bag sale….. “I think we should get two bags, Mother.” The bag sellers handed them two bags. Ideas of hope filled their heads. Thinking of how much this all helps the environment, they are positively going to reach out and help the world. |
